Rose Medical Management offers 24/7 access to telemedicine visits, directly from the worksite. What are worksite telemedicine visits and how do they work? A worksite telemedicine encounter is a form of video and/or audio communication that allows a healthcare provider present on the worksite to communicate with another offsite healthcare provider for the purpose of collaborating on the diagnosis and appropriate treatment of an injured employee. A telemedicine encounter is typically initiated by the onsite provider who initiates video contact with our national medical director (NMD). Telemedicine encounters are conducted using secure HIPPA compliant software platforms. After briefing the NMD on the patient’s vitals, symptoms, medical history, current medications, and medical condition, the providers collaborate on the diagnosis and appropriate treatment in accordance with company care guidelines (CCG). These guidelines are designed to ensure medical outcomes that are in the best interests of both the employee and employer. By improving access to care and increasing productivity, worksite telemedicine visits can benefit both employees and employers alike.
